Spartan Freshman Team Shines in Cavalier Invitational

Our Skyline Spartans Freshman Team travelled to Bellingham for the 7th annual Cavalier Invitational on March 10th & 11th and opened a lot of eyes. Our Freshman boys went 3-1-0 into the Semi finals before losing to the number 1 seeded Snohomish Varsity 2-4. Yes, that is "Varsity" and not a typo.

Here is the run:
Spartans vs North County Varsity - tie
Spartans vs Bellevue Junior Varsity - 6-4 win
Spartans vs Mt Si Varsity - 10-4 win
Spartans vs Roosevelt Varsity (Qtr Finals) - 5-3 win
Spartans vs Snohomish Varsity (Semi Finals) - 2-4 loss

Spartan Youth Sweep Opening Day!

This Saturday the new Skyline Spartans Youth division opened its inaugural season and the Spartans swept all 6 scheduled games!

The Junior Black opened the first day of GELL league play with a 10-4 win over Kirkland Junior Black with attackman Nick Fasano scoring the first recorded goal for the new youth program. Win followed win as the Junior Green booked a 12-2 win over Tahoma White, Junior Silver notched a 17-3 win over Tahoma Gold, and Senior Green recorded an 8-4 win over the Sammamish Black senior select team to complete an opening day home field sweep.

Meanwhile the Spartans Senior Black and Senior Silver were on the road playing Northshore and swept both away games to make it a perfect weekend for the new Spartans Youth Program. The Spartans Senior Silver recorded a 7-6 win over Northshore Black and Spartans Senior Black won a tough battle 7-6 over Northshore White.

Congratulations to all the Spartans youth players and coaches!!!

Nick Fazano Scores Spartans First Goal for Skyline Youth

Nick Fazano, attackman on the Spartans Junior (5/6) Black team scores the first recorded goal for the Skyline Spartans Lacrosse Club new youth division. The Junior Black went on to win an exciting 10-4 victory over Kirkland Junior Black in the first game played on the inagural opening day for Spartans youth.

Varsity Captain Jack Pruitt Signs on Letter of Intent Day

Spartans Lacrosse Varsity Captain Jack Pruitt joins fellow Skyline HS student-athletes signing a National Letter of Intent in a special ceremony at Skyline earlier this month.

Jack has committed to the NCAA Division 1 Denver University Pioneers.

The Spartans Lacrosse Club congratulates Jack on his outstanding accomplishment and is proud to have him as a Spartans ambassador in NCAA lacrosse

Skyline 7/8 Youth Win Clash Winter Indoor D2 Championship

The Skyline Spartans Senior 7/8 indoor team played it's first season in the Clash Indoor Winter League this November through January and clinched the "D2" Championship this Saturday.

The Spartans were coached by Head Coach Jack Pruitt and Assistant Coach Rene Cespedes.

The 2011/12 Spartans Players were Christopher Bechtel, Blake Carpenter, William Cespedes, Cameron DeWeirdt, Ricky Dua, Nolan Eggert, Dylan Gross, Mitchell Larson, Bennett Lees, Jack McCarthy, Ben Mix, Bryce Noonan, Joey Rosauer, Andrew Schweitzer, Garrett Strand, Trevor West, Tanner Wilkins and Dalen Wuehler.

Annual HS Varsity - Alumni Game and HS Club/Alumni Round Robin

Spartan Alumni joined in with the full Spartans HS roster for the Round Robin Tourney and a sticks-in scrimmage to cap the annual Alumni Week of holiday lacrosse.

The players & fans were treated to Big House BBQ after an afternoon of laxin fun...

It's Holiday Game Time!!

The Annual Skyline Spartans High School Varsity vs Spartans Alumni match is set for Tuesday, December 27th at the Skyline Community Fields starting at Noon and running to 3:00 PM. The 2011 Varsity roster has been set by Coach K and those participating players have been notified.

The Varsity/Alumni match will be followed on Thursday, December 29th with the Spartans High School Club/Alumni Round Robin tourney which starts at Noon and runs to 4:00 PM on the Skyline Community Fields. All registered Skyline Spartan High School laxers (Rising Freshmen - Seniors) are invited and encouraged to participate. The Club will host a BBQ for the participating players following the match featuring their killer hot sandwiches from Big House BBQ who will be set up at the fields for the tourney. Make sure you RSVP to Varsity Captain Jack Pruitt for this so we can help Big House get the goodies right.

***Remember - Completed Spring registration and full gear are required to participate in these events!!!
